28.Apr.2010 Villany at The Vault – A Gainesvillain’s Graduation - Lazaroc

Every Spring, Gainesville is dealt a large blow when a majority of its wisest young leaders have simultaneously completed enough credits and drinks at Grog House to finally graduate. These are the people who helped you get a drink from the bar when you couldn’t see over it or were unable to formulate a logical concoction of sugar water and alcohol when the bartender was taking drinks. These are the people that when all the entry level undergrads were waiting in line out front of midtown, brought you around back to show you whats up, the people that showed you the drink rotation at balls happy hour and the importance of words like “Flacos” and “Gumbys.”

Thinking back 4 years ago its hard to believe that the class of 2010 is really the same group of kids that came to this city crashing house parties with their own suitcases of natty light under their arms. They were all so eager and excited to show Gainesville what they have been training for their senior year of High School. Some how they came in, took over the reins, and took control without the city completely imploding on itself. I mean yeah, you might of got us ranked as the 11th gayest city in the us, and knocked us down to the number 2 party school in the country. But that is completely out of your hands, you can’t go around policing yourself making sure all the bros are continuing to frat hard, smashing slam-pieces, and shotgunning brews every night. How would you ever of found time to study if that had been the case?

In a way to say “thanks for all the good times,” The Gainesvillains and The Vault night club are teaming up to bring you the best Graduation party Gainesville has to offer, Villany at The Vault – A Gainesvillains Graduation. Don’t bother scuffing up your wood floors or risking a 3rd noise violation before your lease is up when The Vault nightclub has Gainesville’s newest dance floor, loudest sound system, and brightest lights. The Gainesvillains are looking out for you Twenty-Tenners and cover is comped with your tassel. Just more incentive to get to the bookstore a little early to pick up that cap and gown. We’ll be downing $3 3olives and toasting to you on Friday, all info can be found on our event page.
