17.Nov.2009 Tearing down the Reitz Union - Lazaroc

All of a sudden a group of vandals want to Tear Down The Reitz Union mid-semester because it isn’t big enough for 50k students to eat lunch and mope around on their laptops with. Apparently,

This Tuesday, UF Student Senate will be voting on a resolution in support of Administration charging all students a new Reitz Union fee to help fund the desperately needed renovation and expansion of the Reitz Union. We understand the need to renovate/expand the Reitz Union to better meet the growing needs of the student body and recognize that it is not only the responsibility of the University but also that of the students to help fund these renovations with a student fee.

I for one do not see the need for personally paying for any more DDR machines but will support an expansion of Taco Bell counter space to increase efficiency.
