Out with the old & in with the new- a cliche we all have learned to love. While this summer was amazing, this fall semester promises to be even more glorious. Now that everybody is coming home, the crowd that earned the title “Number 1 Party School” is back. Dispite the lack of sorority girls due to Panhallenic Recruitment, Friday night proved to be even more awesome than anticipated. The Coalition did Friday night right at Status Night Club. While move-in started on Wednesday, there were still hundreds of eager college students chomping at the bit to party. Needless to say, August 18th was a good day for Grog & XS. Our newest photo intern did a spectacular job of capturing the essence of the night. Check out the party pics below.

Finally, Saturday at The Vault blew me away with amazing amounts of fun and beautiful people. As the night progressed the energy levels continued to rise. Like any Gainesvillains party, it was a great show and a great night.

The streets of downtown are always more amusing after 2AM.

Its been getting really hot out there! By all means do whatever it is you do to remain cool. Buy a trendy hat with a fan attached or go around spraying kids in Turlington with squirt bottles as long as they don’t contain body fluids. If you’re a nature lover be sure to check out Ginnie Springs or Secret Springs if you can find it. Just stay out of the Suwannee cause they keep finding bodies floating up.

• Meth Labs all cleared, feel free to plan your Camping Trip accordingly.
• Where’s the best place to rack up the most criminal charges at a value?
• Need to get some summer loving? Adopt a pet and maybe just maybe you’ll catch the attention of that special somebody. If not, ain’t no shame in playing video games and dancing with yourself all evening.

The Vault – JC Promotions

Shaan Saigol is out of town on important Villainous business, so DJ Shea Michaels and special guest DJ R3ign stepped in on the 1′s and 2′s. All three floors have been opened – Saturday night was a blast at Vault. Joe Haden made an appearance for his NFL Draft Party. He will be playing for the Cleveland Browns next season. On a note unrelated to football- check out the amazing people who celebrated with us last night.

A phrase that doesn’t describe many weekends out of the year. But nay, this weekend was indeed fucking unforgettable. At first I was going to throw in some jokes about what drugs, lasers, and America’s birthday all have in common, but in my infinite wisdom I decided to shut up and let the photos do the talking.

Dirty Disco Presents: STEVE AOKI

The Vault Nightclub, Gainesville’s premier electronic getaway, was packed with electro house lovers from all over Florida on Monday night. Mr. Aoki himself was meeting & greeting upstairs in the loft beforehand like the humble superstar he is. Monday Night

The Swamp, Gainesville’s most famous restaurant, was having a normal “Summer A-Monday” until every bro on campus realized it was Summer B. Hordes of seasoned Swamp-goers accompanied by the freshest of  freshman descended upon The Swamp just before midnight. One report stated there was a point where the wait to enter was nearly an hour long.

Wednesday Night

Midtown madness ensued on the first Wednesday of Summer B. Gator City, XS, Grog House, Balls and Salty Dog were all slammed. This Thursday, Uber Promotions brought you Eight Seconds. For those of you newbies, :08 is an enormous venue with no shortage of beer, babes, and boots.  Needless to say I had a great time.

The Vault Thursday

Special Guest DJ Sesbastian Morxx visited The Vault this Thursday evening and rocked the dance floor all night long. I was fortunate enough to swing by and capture a few moments of what was an amazing night.
