This week marks the first of the Spring Semester although there is nothing Spring about the weather. Every semester Drop/Add week proves to be a great opportunity to catch back up with all those friends of yours you’ve been “missing” since classes ended and you were at home hanging with your real friends. Drop/Add week usually means that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ATTEND YOUR CLASSES and that YOU WILL GO OUT EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK in order to see which nights are worthy of your attendance. It probably also means, that you have to wake up at the crack ass of dawn to have a little sit down with your advisor and get all those holds off your record before you can even register. Not to mention Machen’s cronies trying to save some extra cash for bonuses by refusing to turn the heat on for the kids

For real tho, you should probably go to your classes. I mean its kind of a good idea to figure out which classes you will hate/fail, which TA’s and professors speak prowprer engwish or a great opportunity to scout out what side of the classroom the hot chicks/dicks are sitting on. In reality what the administration is saying is that if you don’t like the caliber of people in your class then get out of it and look for something better.

It took me a few years to perfect the process of drop/add week but it really is quite simple. All you have to do is be patient. Allow the teachers and babes to come to you. Find out which building the majority of your classes are in and sit in as many classes as possible. Since kids are bouncing in out of class all week, feel free to hang out for 10 minutes and if nothing is tickling your pickle excuse yourself with an obscenity like “Fuck that shit” or “This class is whack!” If you’re still in need of some electives and entry level courses check out Carlton or any other of the big auditoriums. These are usually a good spot to find fresh fruits for easy pickings. By the end of the process you should have a good gauge on which classes have the most talent in them, where the wifi/outlets are, and which classes will suuuck ass.
