Calvin’s unique style and sound is easily apparent on the album. The first single is the title track “Ready For The Weekend,” which features layers of frantic piano riffs mixed with soft synths and those all necessary female vocal hooks. Its a kind of album that anyone can relate to and enjoy if you’re into pop/dance music of any kind. Songs such as “Blue” and “Worst Day” show a bit more of a personal side of Calvin that was not clearly apparent on “I Created Disco.” The songs come across a bit more organic with the introduction of some guitars to the track. The album features 14 new songs including “I’m Not Alone,” and it sounds like he is trying to keep up with life on the road, heartache, and all those “Girls” from “I Created Disco.”

I am not completely sold on the record but I can’t deny Calvin Harris and Dizee Rascal collaborating on the track “Dance Wiv Me.” This album could have a house party vibing and is definitely worth a listen. However, buying the album is really up to your checking account.
